THENational Free Hunting Association has decided to publish a petition for a collection of signatures on the ban on the use of mobile phones during hunting activity in Emilia Romagna. This is one of the most controversial aspects of the regional hunting calendar as regards the 2016-2017 season. According to the association, this provision is in direct contrast with the rules that safeguard individual freedoms of communication.
Furthermore, the right to privacy of personal data is violated. Among other things, as required by Community legislation, no individual can be subjected to arbitrary interference with his private life, in his family, in his home and in his correspondence. Libera Caccia then recalled what is written in the Italian constitution.
Based on the provisions ofArticle 15, the freedom and secrecy of correspondence and any other form of communication are inviolable. Furthermore, their limitation can only take place with a reasoned act. That's why the collection of signatures is useful for request the modification of the forecast of the Emilian hunting calendar. The request was addressed to the Region, the Communications Authority and the Privacy Guarantor.
