Il Regional Council of Piedmont is continuing to examine the bill that it might redesign hunting in this region. According to the Councilor for Agriculture, Giorgio Ferrero, the hunting activity will be modified in a modern way, but the sector associations disagree at all. The Democratic Party and Article 1 have lined up in favor of the provision, while the opposing ones include the National Movement for Sovereignty and Forza Italia, which have listed the critical points of the text.
The main criticisms concern the anti-hunt prejudices and the overly ideological approach. On the contrary, the Movement 5 Stars intervened to reiterate his opposition to the decree and to the entire hunting activity. In particular, the councilors highlighted aspects such as the overcoming of the National Hunting Law and the need to place as many constraints as possible.
The other pentastellati councilors asked to eliminate the concept of "shooting for sport and recreation", as well as reducing the number of head per year (5 wild boars, 3 pheasants and two hares to be precise). The discussion is only at the beginning and for sure others will register Verbal "clashes" as in these first days: in June, meanwhile, there will be a demonstration in Turin of various hunting associations also against this bill.
