TARGET SHOOTING: Badaracchi in first place in the 10-meter pistol at the European Target Shooting Championships.
The results of the European Shooting Championships, which this year is held at Meraker in Norway, have not been as good as we would have expected. The Italians did not manage to stand out from the other participating athletes this year but finally, on the last day of the competition, the Italian team also managed to get one of the long-awaited medals. During the last day of the European shooting, in fact, Mauro Badalacchi (Tivoli, Rome) won the gold medal in the 10-meter pistol specialty. Last year Badaracchi managed to reach the second position and thus obtain the silver medal.
But this year the athlete of the forestry corps managed to keep calm until the last second and to win the much coveted and deserved title of European Champion of 2010. Mauro Badaracchi is a very young athlete, born in 1984, who he has already given us many exciting moments and so much is still expected of him for future competitions.
In second place in the 10-meter pistol specialty was the Ukrainian Kudriya, winning the silver medal. In third place, winning the bronze medal, on the other hand, was the Slovakian Tuzinsky.
