La Regional Council of Umbria, on the proposal of the councilor for hunting, pre-adopted the proposal of hunting calendar for the next hunting season 2019-2020. The text, elaborated by the Regional Councilorship, was presented and participated with the Regional Hunting Faunal Council. “Compared to previous hunting seasons - underlines the regional councilor - it stands out mainly moving the opening to the third Sunday in September, which this year falls on the 15th, without prejudice to the start of the selection hunt for fallow deer and roe deer species, in specific areas, in the month of June.
Waiting for the approval process of the new one to be completed Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan, which the Department expects to conclude by July - he adds - it was considered appropriate, given the recent rulings of the TAR of Umbria, not to foresee at the moment the two days in advance that usually were carried out in the first days of September. For the remaining periods and huntable species the provisions of the previous season are repeated".
