In recent days, the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters sounded the alarm on the contents of the Piano Lupo, elaborated by Ministry of the Environment and currently deposited for the attention of the State Regions Conference. We had emphasized the severe limitations provided for hunting wild boar in pursuit and the strict regulations applied in sensitive areas such as Natura 2000 sites and the contiguous areas adjacent to the National and Regional Parks. For our Region we are talking about about 350 thousand hectares of affected territory which, as foreseen by the plan, would for the most part be subjected to such restrizioni.
It is certainly no coincidence that controversies and strong opposition immediately arose against this unfortunate hypothesis, not only from the hunting world, but also from the institutions. The statements of strong opposition by Councilor Remaschi and by some exponents of the Regional PD joined those of Coldiretti, Luciano Monaci - President of Federcaccia di Grosseto and those of Francesco Rustici - President ofRegional Association of Tuscan Hunters. In fact, the Maremma is certainly one of the territorial realities where a wide debate has developed for days on the provision and on the consequences that could arise. A broad and combative front determined to to fight for the defense of a tradition such as that of hunting wild boar in pursuit and committed to averting the disastrous repercussions as regards the issue of damage to agricultural production.
To date, thanks to the hunted hunt and to the teams, plans for the collection of about 70.000 wild boar heads per year are guaranteed. In this context, yet another clash between the 5 Stars and the League is taking place; an evident contradiction that has now reached the outlines of a comedy that is being celebrated on the hunters' skin, farmers and ranchers. "We want to return to this dangerous story today - declares Marco Romagnoli, secretary of the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters - to spur regional policy to move forward and fight against this new attack aimed not only at the rural and hunting world, but also at prerogatives of the regions".
A commitment that is therefore continuing and that sees the Confederation at the head of a battle that is certainly not easy; a commitment that also recorded positive signs and growing attention at the parliamentary level by the main opposition force to the yellow-green government. In these days, Deputy Luciano Nobili of the Democratic Party filed a question with the Minister of the Environment which punctually collects many of the contents raised by us and which will be presented to the Chamber of Deputies.
