2nd Olympic Pit Grand Prix reserved for shooters in the Excellence category and in the Ladies and Youth Sector qualifications just concluded on the platforms of the Tav Cieli Aperti in Cologno al Serio (BG).
Divided into four rankings, the 191 participants faced each other over the distance of 125 qualifying targets (75 for Ladies and Jnuior Ladies) and 25 in the final for the best six of each sector. In that of the marksmen of Excellence the gold went to Daniele Resca (Carabinieri) from Pieve di Cento (BO) who after entering the decisive series thanks to a play-off with three other matched shooters at 121/125, in the final he realized 21 useful points by beating everyone and closing at 142/150.
Behind him the silver and bronze were awarded thanks to a shoot-off that had as protagonists Rodolfo Viganò (Forestale) of Castello D'Agogna (PV) and Fabio Sollami of Caltanissetta, both at an altitude of 141/150.
In the end, the forest agent won the place of honor with +3 to +2, while the colleague from Nyssa had to settle for the last step of the podium.
Jessica Rossi (Fiamme Oro) of Crevalcore (BO) deserved first place among the Ladies who dominated both the qualifications and the final, earning gold with 93/100.
Second and third place, respectively, for Daniela Mazzocchi from Leggiuno (VA) with 90 and Deborah Gelisio (Forestale) from Mel (BL) with 88. The ranking of Junior Men saw Giulio Fioravanti (Forestale) from La Storta (RM) excel. that with 142/150 got the gold medal.
Also in this case, as well as in the ranking of Excellence, the silver and bronze were the subject of a playoff between two matched shooters at an altitude of 141/150. At the end of the shoot-off Marco Mattioli from Rome got the better of him, who won the silver by beating Valerio Grazini from Viterbo with +6 to +5, to whom the bronze goes.
Finally, for the Junior Women's sector, the podium was occupied by Alessia Montanino from Palma Campania (NA), gold with 84/100, Silvana Stanco from Winterthur (SUI), silver with 81, and Lisa Nicole Marzo from Olbia (OT ), bronze with 79.
