Il Regional Fauna Committee of the Friuli Venezia Giulia he met yesterday, Tuesday 20 September 2016, in Udine to express himself on some very important aspects of the hunting calendar. As reported by Regioni.it, the Committee was chaired by the councilor for hunting, Paul Panontin, and a favorable opinion was given to the postponed opening (9 October) as regards the collection of the black grouse, in addition to the early closure (November 7) of the same hunt. In addition, the overall days were limited to six, in order to make the activity sustainable.
The collection of rock partridge, ptarmigan and white hare will be suspended. To arrive at this decision, it was necessary to carry out checks by the regional hunting and fish resources service on the current situation of the Friulian fauna, taking inspiration from sample areas. Monitoring took place between the 4 and the 26 August in Paularo, Prato Carnico, Tramonti and Venzone, in addition to the repopulation and capture area of Trasaghis.
They were detected 20 adult males of black grouse, 27 females and 49 young. Consequently, the reproductive index was quantified at 1,81, in order to establish hunting restrictions and suspensions. The hunting pressure will remain limited for the pheasant, while there will be no for the rock partridge (13 adults and 44 children). Finally, the management plans relating to some special areas have been postponed.
