The regional president of the Federcaccia of Lazio, Aldo Pompetti, urges the commissioner Onorati so that, as per commitments, he adapts to what is established by the neighboring regions. Here is his note: “I appeal to the regional councilor for hunting Enrico Onorati reminding her of the commitments made in the last technical-wildlife committee, so that she reinserts the lapwing and pochard species within our hunting calendar ”.
The president of Federcaccia Lazio Aldo Pompetti speaks frankly, as usual, going straight to the point of the "lapwing and pochard question", two species initially removed from the regional hunting calendar on request from the Ministry of the Environment, which camped out alleged situations of difficulty of the respective populations, then not supported by concrete data. To the point that the regions, in their autonomy, have decided to keep huntable both the wader (lapwing) and the duck (pochard). However, Lazio is still missing from the appeal.
"During the last session of the technical-wildlife committee - remembers Pompetti - the Department of Hunting made a specific commitment to re-enter both species in the hunting calendar if the neighboring regions they had done the same. At this point, since several weeks have already passed since the re-insertion of lapwing and pochard in the calendars of the other regions, I ask the councilor Onorati to let us have news about it. We expect, in suitable times, a specific resolution - concludes the president - to supplement the current hunting calendar ".
