The Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) gave its opinion on the fox control plan prepared byTerritorial Area of Latin Hunting 2 for the period 2018-2020. In particular, it was noted that within the Lazio ATC there are no repopulation and capture areas or areas where the hunting ban is in force for the protection of hares and pheasants.
There are also no previous data regarding the consistency of the fox, but the plan setting was deemed acceptable. It is about 10 areas of hunting respect to be established with a minimum area of 150 hectares or more. ISPRA has accepted the implementation of the action plan aimed at to reconstruct the population nuclei of sedentary small game able to sustain itself through inputs.
Fox control, the aim of which is to reduce the animal's predatory impact, is considered by the Institute to be consistent with the current regulatory framework. The same speech was made for the environmental improvements within the hunting areas and aimed at the natural reproduction of small game. Finally, ISPRA had its say on the educational program for obtaining the certification to control the fox, listing the topics of the various lessons.
