The Azzurri, accompanied by the Technical Directors Andrea Benelli and Albano Pera, by Team Leader Mario Magnanini, by the Athletic Trainer Fabio Partigiani and by the Physiotherapist Aldo Bionda, will land at Tokyo Haneda International Airport (JPN) tomorrow and will move to the Olympic Village.
For the Azzurri, the program includes a few days of free training in the Asaka Shooting Range pending the Opening Ceremony on July 23rd which, even if behind closed doors for the local public, will still give great emotions to the athletes who will parade in the Olympic Stadium. Leading the Italian ones as standard bearer will be our Jessica Rossi and the cyclist Elia Viviani. From the 24th of July there will already be an air of competition with official training.
The honor of the opening will go to Skeet. For them the competition will take place on Sunday 25 July with the first 75 qualifying targets and Monday 26 July with another 50 qualifying targets and the finals. From Tuesday 27 July the protagonists on the platform will be the Olympic Pit specialists Jessica Rossi (Fiamme Oro) from Crevalcore (BO), Olympic Champion in London 2012, Silvana Maria Stanco (Fiamme Gialle), resident in Winterthur (SUI) but grown up tiravolistically in Italy, bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships in Changwon (KOR) and winner of the last World Cup of the 2021 season in Osijek (CRO), and Mauro De Filippis (Fiamme Oro), number one in the world ranking and he too on the top of the podium of the last round of the 2021 World Cup in Osijek (CRO).
