Generosity and altruism since world of hunting: it is a great gesture that of Umbrian wild boar hunting teams, which in this difficult moment have decided to self-tax to support the regional health structures against Covid 19. Despite the impossibility of physically meeting, for over a month the approximately 200 teams in our region have organized themselves to contribute financially to the supply of sanitary instruments and equipment, previously agreed with the provincial directorates of the hospitals of Terni, Perugia and beyond.
Teams have collected approx 45 thousand euros, which allowed them to donate eight lung ventilators and fifteen flow meters complete with accessories to the hospitals of the Province of Perugia, while the hospitals in the province of Terni were given a Blood gas analyzer for intensive care and a hydraulic stretcher complete with accessories, as well as a specific instrument for the bones. The instruments have all already been delivered. The coordinators of the boar hunting teams are satisfied, which have always been involved in land management and support to institutions, law enforcement agencies, farmers and subsidiarity in general, as has been repeatedly demonstrated by the facts.
For some time now the figure of the hunter is no longer strictly linked to hunting, but it is often associated with social commitment, as demonstrated by this gesture, like many other initiatives. Returning to the donation of machinery, as explained by the various team coordinators, it was strongly desired in order to give a concrete help that can improve or save the health of even a single citizen, both today - in the Covid 19 emergency - and tomorrow, given that the new equipment will be of great use to healthcare facilities also in the future (Spoletonline).
