More than a month available compared to forecasts. There Regional Commission of Liguria approved the hunting calendar 2016-2017 and there are interesting news that have been summarized from the Nineteenth century. First of all, the junta's vote will be needed for the official launch, while until last year the regional council was expected to decide. The beginning of the Ligurian hunting season was set for the third Sunday of next September (the 18 September to be precise), while the final date will be 31 January 2017.
ISPRA's opinion had been different and had foreseen 33 days less, so we will have to deal with quite a substantial difference. As pointed out by the regional councilor for hunting, Stefano Mai, the choice was made based on scientific data, namely the advice of the Institute of Zoology of the University of Genoa. The indications of the institute, on the contrary, had referred to general data valid for the whole of Italy.
Among the other characteristic elements of the calendar, it should be remembered that the turtle dove hunt will be exclusively in the form of stalking, while the maximum game bag for each day will be different depending on the animal: it is 15 wood pigeons, 2 wild rabbits and a fox. Furthermore, the wild boar hunting will remain identical to that of the 2015-2016 season, with dates between 1st October and 31st December, or alternatively from 1st November to 31st January.
