The latest updates from the Bocca di Caset ringing station, in Trentino, have brought out some interesting news: "With a new perturbation approaching, the passage of migrants becomes more intense, engaging two ringers at the same time. In the frenzy of activity, we also find time for a new visiting class and a troupe of journalists.
For them, as well as numerous finches, brambles and siskins, even some peculiarities, such as the alpine venturone: although similar to a serin, genetic studies have revealed a closer relationship with the goldfinch; its populations are concentrated in the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Spanish mountain ranges where it frequents wooded pastures and areas at the edge of the vegetation. Its migratory movements are contained and mostly characterized by a lowering of altitude. Just enough time to take a picture and enjoy the meeting and it's time to resume the activity at full speed! ”.
