Chestnut Festival "Munnaredda" in Tramutola (PZ) organized by the Pro Loco Tramutola Association
The Pro Loco Tramutola Association, in the World Year of Forests, intends to protect and enhance the biotypes of our territory and in particular the “Munnaredda” chestnut.
To this end, it organizes for the days 29, 30 and 31 of October 2011 the second edition of the Chestnut Festival "Munnaredda" which will wind through the streets of the historic center offering visitors the various ways of preparation of the product, such as: Feliciata, Pistiddi, Broule, Castagn 'mBurnat', traditional peasant and popular sweets (castagnaccio and bucc'nott ') and much more.
A study conference is planned in which the results of the research, carried out by regional structures, on the characteristics of our chestnut and on the possibility of relaunching production, already discussed in the last edition, will be deepened.
Visits to the woods, musical entertainment, attractions and games will complete the days that will also be accompanied by the tasting of other typical local products and sprinkled with good Lucan wine.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Appennino Lucano - Val d'Agri - Lagonegrese National Park, the APT of Basilicata and the Municipal Administration of Tramutola.
