A few days ago the Alpine Area "Bergamasque Prealps" closed the hare hunt after reaching the numbers provided for by the withdrawal plan: now, however, there is an unresolved misunderstanding and the problem has been raised by the Bergamo section of the Italian Federation of Hunting. This is the training of dogs in the Alps area. In fact, at the beginning of the hunting season 2016-2017 the Provincial Police has made it known that they no longer want to follow the regional regulation number 16 which dates back to 2003 and allows dog training even after the closure of the plans (not even the signature of the day is needed).
The body intends to follow instead “old” indications of the Province calendar, a text substantially disappeared after the competences passed directly to the Lombardy Region. The latter clarified the doubts raised by the hunting association, explaining how in the Alpine Zone it is possible to continue to apply the 2003 regulation (implementation of the rules for the protection of wildlife and environmental balance). This means that dogs can be safely trained after the closing of the plansthe. Now we await the last reply from the same Region.
