FITAV: The 2nd Compak Grand Prix ended on the platforms of the Tav Fagnano Olona (VA) and La Tranquilla di San Calogero (VV). The 300 participating shooters faced each other over a distance of 100 targets each, plus any play-offs for the assignment of podiums. At Tav Fagnano Olona, in the Excellence category, gold was won by Veniero Spada di Fabro (TR) who closed the race at an altitude of 96/100.
In second place Aldo Maltese from Bassano Romano (VT) who stopped at 90, followed by Mauro Bosi from Forlì (FC), third with 88. Among the Ladies the best was the Lombard Katia Vaghi who beat her opponents with the final score of 88 centers out of 100. Behind him the Venetian Arianna Bonigolo (81) and the Tuscan Erica Pucci (78), second and third respectively. In the Youth Sector sector, the Lombard Davide Serioli won the highest step of the podium and the gold by closing the race at an altitude of 92/100.
For the assignment of the silver and bronze medals, a play-off took place between the Venetian Andrea Botta and the Marches Andrea Ghiselli, paired at an altitude of 86, at the end of which Botta won with +8 to +7. On the platforms of the Tav La Tranquilla the competition in the Excellence category saw Francesco Iurato from Scicli (RG) excel with a total score of 85/100. In second place the Lazio Massimo Grieco with 84 centers while the Sicilian Claudio Carlino (80) ranked third.
In the Ladies' sector, gold went to Valentina Anton (66/100) from Rome. The silver Carmela Vinci (39) from Scicli (RG) and the bronze Elisa Elastico (35) from Piazza Armerina (EN). Finally, for the Youth Sector, the podium saw Renato Vitelli (83) from Matera climb the top step, followed by Corrado Inga (73) from Syracuse and Giuseppe Gaetano (71) from Amorosi (BN), second and third respectively.
