Brescia: The competitive year of the Shooting Section of Cus Brescia, the first University Sports Center to be affiliated with FITAV, ended with the award ceremony chaired by the Rector of the University of Brescia Augusto Preti.
Recognitions for the 2010 activity were awarded to athletes in Basketball, Sailing, Karate, Soccer, Skiing and Table Tennis, in addition of course to skeet shooting.
For our discipline the protagonist was Andrea Miotto, twenty-year-old from Ciliverghe (BS), a student of Economics and Commerce, who this year achieved brilliant results both nationally and internationally.
At the National University Championships, held in Campobasso on 21 and 22 May, Andrea won individual gold and team bronze, while at the World University Championships, held in Wroclaw (POL) from 15 to 21 September, he won silver in teams.
Present at the awards ceremony, which took place in the new sports hall of the Brescia university center, were Federal Councilor Gianluigi Gualini, delegate to the university activities of the federation, and the President of the Fitav Lombardia Regional Committee Daniele Ghelfi.
After the ceremony, the authorities and the students present had the opportunity to try their hand at our sport thanks to the shooting simulator placed in the CUS Brescia stand.
