Fitav: Witness the proximity to the two marines Latorre and Girone. The first Azzurri left for India to participate in the India Open Championship and the 2nd Asian Shotgun Championship 2012.
The first two Azzurri of the delegation that will take part in the Indian Open Championship and the 2nd Asian Shotgun Championship 2012, scheduled at the Many Bagh Gun Club in Patiala (IND), have left for India until 10 December.
Representing us in the Fossa Olimpica and Skeet competitions will be Rodolfo Viganò (Forestale) from Castello D'Agogna (PV), Federica Caporuscio (Forestale) from Rome, Valerio Luchini (Carabinieri) from Rome and Simona Scocchetti (Army) from Tarquinia.
In addition to the high competitive value of the competition that will attract the best shooters from all over the Asian world to Patiala, the importance of this trip lies in the sign of closeness that President Luciano Rossi, the Federal Council and the athletes themselves want to testify to the two marines. Italians, Massimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, locked up in Indian prisons since last February.
The athletes, all belonging to Military Sports Groups, feel morally very close to the two Italian colleagues and hope that the situation can be resolved in the best possible way and that Latorre and Girone can return to their families as soon as possible.
The competition program includes: Monday 3 December: men's skeet 75 targets and women's skeet plus final Tuesday 4 December: men's skeet 50 targets plus final Thursday 6 December: men's and women's 50 targets Friday 7 December men's 50 targets and 25 women's traps Targets plus final Saturday 8 December: men's trap 25 targets plus final.
