At the Indian Open Championship, Federcica Caporuscio wins gold in the Olympic pit race and like the other Azzurri dedicates the victory to the Italian Marò.
After Simona Scocchetti and Valerio Luchini it is the turn of Federica Caporuscio. At the Indian Open Championship the Azzurri are doing their best: they want to win for Massimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, the two Maròs held in India. On Patiala's Many Bagh Gun Club facility Federica Caporuscio, 22 years old from Rome, won the Olympic pit competition beating with a score of 68/75 the Indian Chowdhary Shagun (64 + 1) and the Iranian Sepideh Sirani (64 +0).
“My victory is for them, for Massimiliano and Salvatore - declared the shooter - We decided it from the beginning all of us in the team together. Our wish would be to at least be able to meet them and give them our medals. We are not asking for the moon. Our president Luciano Rossi has moved his knowledge to help us achieve our goal. Now we just need a little sensitivity from the local authorities ”.
First day of competition also for the men's Trap; in the lead immediately our Rodolfo Viganò who with a score of 71/75 precedes three Kuwaiti at 69/75, Talal Al Rashidi Naser Meqlad Abdulranmhan Al Faihan.
