It is not the first time that an Italian hunting association raise your voice against poaching. This time it was Luciano Monks, provincial president of Federcaccia Grosseto, who harshly attacked the individual he shot down another Hermit Ibis, "discrediting the whole category of hunters who with patient work and dedication try to enhance the Maremma". Monaci defined this poacher as an imbecile and a dishonest, recalling how the hunting world is not able to bear these gestures.
Federcaccia participates in the project that aims to reintroduce the Ibis and the Grosseto section also adopted one, renamed Dante. The killing therefore offended and struck. The association's request is provide information to expose the perpetrator in case you know something: FIDC Grosseto is available to investigators to give their contribution.
In the statement from the president there is an important clarification: "We absolutely disagree with those who define the hunter as unscrupulous man and willing to shoot everything that comes within range. Let's call them by their name, poachers". The proposal for a temporary suspension of hunting was defined as harmful and useless, as it is unable to solve the problems related to poaching.
