As disclosed by the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters (CCT), the activities of the Malpasso ornithological center, in the province of Grosseto, will also continue in the coming months. The hunting association recalled how the reproductive period is in full swing, as a consequence the ringing sessions and the census relating to breeding species they must be done on a regular basis. In particular, the news that has to do with columbidae is quite positive, given that the data collected and yet to be collected will be exploited to support the hunting in pre-opening to the birds concerned.
The Malpasso ornithological center is part of an idea born from the Hunting offices of the Province of Grosseto and the Territorial Hunting Area of the Tuscan municipality to have a detailed monitoring of species present in the inland area of the Maremma. The CCT also reported how this morning, Wednesday 11 July 2018, the Tuscany Region and the Councilor for Agriculture Marco Remaschi received a letter with new data and studies developed by theBird Migration Office of the Italian Hunting Federation.
This is valuable information regarding the wild dove, the subject of a very strong controversy due to the position taken by the Ministry of the Environment. The contribution is considered constructive and useful to support the collection of the species in pre-opening, respecting the ISPRA indications (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) on the times and on the overall game bag.
