Chiocchio, one of the fractions of Greve in Chianti (province of Florence), is ready to host the Wild Boar Festival. In this small town which is 25 kilometers from the Tuscan capital, an important gastronomic event is renewed every twelve months: the 2018 edition will take place from 23 April to 1 May, all in the name of good food and conviviality.
The menu will inevitably be dominated by game. The event was organized by Circolo ARCI and will be present onexcellent wild boar hunted in the Chianti woods: sausages, pasta dishes, stewed or grilled wild boar, there is plenty of choice for the most demanding palates. The club room is very large and the staff will cook and serve at a continuous pace: every day you can dine starting from 19:30, while on Saturdays and public holidays there will also be the opportunity for lunch (from 12:30 to be precise).
Each dish, then, will be accompanied by the precious red wine of Chianti, the ideal drink on these occasions. Thirty-seven editions are certainly not few and this testifies to the success of the event over time. There are exactly three weeks left to the start of the festival and preparations are already well underway to guarantee the same result as the last four decades.
