The animal rights activists have filed a new appeal against the hunting in Puglia in the 2019-2020 season. Federcaccia is not there and calls the Region to strong and clear actions, that's why the national president of the hunting association - Massimo Buconi - posted a video to raise awareness of the upcoming counter-moves. Verdi Ambiente e Società (VAS) contested the changes to the calendar, a series of restrictions that had already annoyed the hunting world which they could start the business.
The new appeal focuses on the further reduction of some hunting periods for some species (primarily in February), in addition to the use of lead in the collection of ungulates. According to Buconi, the animal rights objective is clear, keep the Apulian hunters "nailed" in court. FIDC has assured that it is on the side of the Apulian hunters and is working for the appearance in court. The request to the Puglia Region is clear: it serves a clear and strong act, in compliance with the law, the laws, but also with all citizens.
