La Confederation of Tuscan Hunters has called a public meeting for next 22 April a Grosseto to discuss the framework law on ungulates recently approved. It is a real mobilization and the CCT has decided to invite local administrators and political forces, in addition to the regional councilor Marco Remaschi: the invitation is precisely to participate in a large way, so as to make people feel the voice of the united hunting world. What will be discussed specifically?
First of all, it should be noted that the appointment is scheduled for 17 pm at the Hotel Granduca. The assembly will serve to solicit urgent answers to the main questions posed by the confederation itself. In addition, the need for define plans and suitable areas to accommodate suggestions from the hunting world. The meeting has the purpose, then, of applying once and for all new rules that are capable of really enhancing the role and contribution of boar hunting teams.
There are two other aspects that should not be underestimated, namely the return to the Territorial Hunting Areas of the role and skills that are essential to achieve the objectives of the Tuscan law, and overcoming delays as regards the use of tools already available, first of all the application of article 37 of law 3 of 1994 ("Wildlife control").
The topic is as current as ever in Tuscany, due to the excessive number of ungulates: about 200 thousand roe deer, 200 thousand wild boars, 4 thousand deer and 8 thousand fallow deer. The target law was proposed with a total duration of three years and to introduce parameters, carry out monitoring and prepare a specific action plan. Among the objectives to be achieved there is also the absence of regional areas in which the species mentioned above can proliferate undisturbed.
