On Saturday 9 March the dog training area of Limbiate, seat of the local section Hunting Federation, has begun to animate to retouch the last details and ensure the success of a special dog test. Special because the much mistreated hunters, as soon as they get the chance, they show that their hearts are big and generous. They have shown this with donations to deal with the #pandemic and on a hundred other occasions before then. This time, however, the hunters and, in particular, the Lombardy Regional Coordination of #Federcaccia hunters, organized a canine trial for charity to raise funds in favor of #LILT - Italian League for the Fight against Cancer.
It all started in dribs and drabs on Saturday morning with competitors who have begun to arrive to test their auxiliaries on one of the first aptitude tests of the season, but above all to actively demonstrate one's will to support a noble cause: the fight against the evil of the century, through support for #LILT. Animated by the spirit of charity but still fierce by the presence of some of the best players in Lombardy and Northern Italy, the competitors also had to deal with extreme wind conditions on Saturday and of winter cold in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At the end of the event there were over 130 competitors, a huge number if compared to similar amateur dog shows, an exceptional success that made the support bodies proud (Italian Federation of Hunting, Italian Setters Society) and honored the work of many people dedicated to the success of the fundraising, in particular Maurizio Masiero, Renato Novati and all the Federcaccia Milano Monza and Brianza staff and the angels of the Lombardo delle Cacciatrici group Federcaccia: Cristiana Preti, Deborah Savoia, Valentina Milanesi, Michela Allio, Emanuela Fusari, Linda Favagrossa and many others, as well as the two assistants to the secretarial operations Daniele La Chiusa and Stefano Dainese.
We thank the presence of several professional dog lovers who have raised even more the technical prestige of the event (Ernesto Pezzotta, Samuele Bottaro, Davide Colzani among others). Last, but not in order of importance, the "technicians" of the competition: the judging couple (Matteo Cutrì and Pietro Erario) and the game manager Gianmarco Bianchi. We also mention the UNDER 12 drivers who were all classified equally; these little budding dog lovers, with their enthusiasm, have given us joy and hope in the future of hunting canine (Alessia Regonesi, Marta Morè, Lisabel Rausa, Letizia Perego, Giada Perego, Anna Gandini and Ester Dallari).
