Shortly before dawn there was a very serious accident on thehighway A1 between the junctions of Lodi and Casalpusterlengo (always in the Lodi area). At least three wild boars crossed the southern carriageway around 4 o'clock, causing a rear-end collision that involved three passing cars at that time (southbound to be precise).
The balance of the claim is really serious: a 28 year old of Polish nationality lost his life from the impact, while the wounded are ten. Among the passengers involved are also two 8-year-old children, an 11-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old. The most serious and most worrying conditions are those of a man and a woman. Rescuers arrived on the spot with five ambulances, in addition to the Fire Brigade.
All the injured are currently in hospitals in Lodi and Piacenza to receive the appropriate treatment. The accident with the wild boars required a difficult clearing of the roadway. The stretch of the A1 was in fact closed to traffic with long queues of vehicles, above all in the direction of Bologna.
