The report of the census su licenses and weapons during 2017 it highlighted a very particular trend as regards the Friuli Venezia Giulia. Unlike other Italian regions, in this area the possession of guns and rifles is recording an important braking. The setback refers to all types of licenses, hunting, sports and self-defense. The trend is accompanied by a significant decline in robberies and home thefts that occur above all when the hosts are not present.
This is why the craving for self-defense seems different from the rest of Italy. The gunmaking tradition is still strong. In particular, the number of enrolled in the national shooting range of Udine are 1300, a number that has remained stable over time. Women are on the rise, while young people approach with a certain "shyness".
Another element not to be kept in the background is that of the decline in the structures in which people engage in weapons. Sections are not lacking, even if it has been recorded a not very encouraging figure compared to previous years. According to reports from those who instruct those enrolled in the polygons, Friulian women are the most receptive and disciplined, in addition to the greater ease of learning.
