As announced byNational Free Hunting Association, now it is open war and since it is said that in war everything is allowed. Here is the statement of the association: “We have read some really incredible things in these very last hours. We allow ourselves - with absolute and humble deference - to contradict what the senator said M5S, group leader in the environment committee, Patty L'Abbate, which fully embraces the alarmist theses of some environmental associations (but it would be more correct to call them animal rights) which fear that if "... the very difficult job of processing data on Key concepts on the periods of pre-nuptial migration of some species of huntable birds, made by ISPRA e transmitted by the Ministry of the Environment to the EU by competence, were polluted by data transmitted by the Department of European Policies to the European Commission, we would be faced with an enormous improper forcing by the offices of the ministry of community policies ”.
We are sorry but things are not exactly like that! It is absolutely not true, in fact, that the Law 157 / 92 assign the ownership of wildlife management policies and relations with the European Commission exclusively to the Ministry of the Environment. In reverse - and it would be enough to read paragraphs 6 and 7 of art. 1 of law 157/92 to have clearer ideas - the Ministry of the Environment has no exclusivity on this matter. Art. 1/6. The regions and autonomous provinces send annually to the Minister of Agriculture and Forests and to the Minister of the Environment a report on the measures adopted pursuant to paragraph 5 and on their detectable effects. Art. 1/7.
Pursuant to article 2 of law no. 9, the Minister for the coordination of community policies, in agreement with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and with the Minister of the Environment, verifies, with the collaboration of the regions and autonomous provinces and having heard the National Wildlife-Hunting Technical Committee referred to in Article 8 and the National Institute for Wildlife, the state of compliance of this law and regional and provincial laws on the subject with the acts issued by the institutions of the European Communities aimed at conservation wildlife. But that's not enough. All of these should be reminded illustrious and highly trained environmentalists and to these very authoritative politicians, who if we want to talk about an institutional coup, then we should go back to the glorious (or shameful, according to the point of view) first decade of this century, when some institutional coups were really implemented such as the one that upset theINFS (National Institute of Wildlife) merging it with APAT and ICRAM and subjecting it to the control no longer of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers but that of the Ministry of the Environment; or like the one that the Ministry of Agriculture de facto in the matter of hunting policy and management.
Today, fortunately, it seems that the Hon. Gian Marco Centinaio, minister of agricultural, food and forestry policies and tourism, has finally raised his voice, asserting his rights and all those skills that had been snatched from his department by a very powerful and also very talked about "Green" Minister that now a political virginity is being rebuilt under the color yellow. Unfortunately, this is the latest chapter in a tragic pantomime of power that shows that it does not care highly about the real and tragic environmental problems of our country, and about true European environmentalism. The aim of these gentlemen is not to safeguard nature, the environment and biodiversity, but only to abolish hunting. A clearly ideological operation that represents a real environmental blasphemy and that clashes in a striking way with any technical-scientific vision of the entire problem ”.
