Robert Packer, number one ofOrnithological Association of Capannisti Trentini (sectoral of the Trentino Hunters Association), addressed to the councilor for hunting of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Michael Dallapiccola, to complain about the hardships experienced by the hunting world. The problem is about closing the business at date of January 15th, unlike what happens in other regions (January 31).
The last day of hunting was not at all appreciated by Paccher, a real discrimination if you compare this situation with the rest of the country and even with other European countries (in several countries the hunt for migration continues until February). Among other things, the sheds remembered how ISPRA has reviewed the data relating to pre-nuptial migration, clearly indicating the possibility of extending the collection of cesene and stone thrushes. The president then expressed his regret for the decision, which penalized more than 1300 hunters.
The letter to Dallapiccola also refers to the forecasts of the hunting calendar relating to the 2018-2019 season, in which there should be a new date for turdids, at least January 30. Otherwise the association could challenge the document. Paccher finally asked for information on dimensions of the huts and on the other topics dealt with more than six months ago, since on that occasion there was the guarantee of a quick solution.
