In the last of the numerous meetings that have seen the Hunting and Agricultural Associations of Toscana discussing with the Region on multiple issues, we talked about hunting calendar for the next hunting season. For Arch Hunting, the central theme is to give certainty to hunters, avoiding running into appeals and consequent curtailments of hunting times and methods.
For this, after consulting their own Scientific Technical Committee, the management of Arci Caccia sent the following to the Region:
Pre-opening: The proposal to include among the species subject to pre-opening only the turtledove and the corvids, with the possible addition of the species in derogation (starling, pigeon, etc. ..) finds us in agreement, especially in light of the ruling of the TAR which has definitively reaffirmed the position that deprived us of 15 days of wood pigeon hunting, blackbird, mallard and teal.
Times of hunting: As already reiterated in the last meeting held in the Region, our opinion regarding the hunt for wild boar is that the times currently in place in the various ATCs should be kept, in order to maintain well-established habits and organizational schemes. With regard to woodcock and turdidae, we agree that the most desirable solution is to remain as faithful as possible to the dictates of 157/92, in order to minimize the risk of recourse.
Increased use of the electronic card: While agreeing with the fact that the one put in place by the Region is a commendable initiative, which, however, proceeds in the direction in which hunting will certainly evolve, we advise against proceeding by making the use of theToscaccia app. Rather, it would be appropriate to identify bonuses that induce hunters to join spontaneously (for example the free granting of the 5-day package or, even better, the granting of the possibility, for members of Toscaccia, to hunting the migratory for 5 days a week in October and November without the constraint of hunting from stalking).
For selection hunters, the App could be used to standardize tele-booking procedures at a regional level, with considerable savings for ATCs. The application could also have a solution to the problem of game bags of skylark or partridge (especially with a quota withdrawal for which Ispra requires continuous monitoring), the same goes for the transfer, whose withdrawal could be coordinated and monitored through the Application.
