Marco Efisio Pisanu, regional number one of Hunting Fishing Environment Sardinia, wrote a letter to the Region to put on paper some observations on the Ministry of the Environment and on the wild turtledove hunting. CPA contested the dicastery's point of view, believed lacking in logical consistency and groundless as regards the island reality. The association does not like the involvement of a region like Sardinia that it is not involved in the migration route indicated in the action plan.
Among other things, the same species is defined as "stable", given that the limitations of recent years have been really heavy. CPA Sardinia does not even include the complete prohibition of the pre-opening without the evaluation of different and more tenuous hypotheses, primarily the reduction of the game bag. The position of the Ministry of the Environment appears preconceived and punitive to Sardinian hunters.
Should this attitude continue, normal collaboration may fail request to the hunting world for what concerns, for example, the monitoring of African swine fever. The hope is that this position will be rethought, so much so that the Region has been invited to maintain the indications made in the draft of the hunting calendar 2018-2019 approved a month ago. Now we expect a precise and concrete response from the local authority.
