Saturday day 9 April 2016 was chosen byGame Producers to organize an important one study day in Viterbo. The association has set the meeting at the cultural center of Valle Faul in the Lazio city: starting from 9am we will talk about the role of hunting privately run institutions, a topic that is always current and capable of attracting a good audience. In particular, the full title of the debate refers to resources and opportunities for the environment and the territory. What will be the topics to be explored and the experts who will speak during the day? The first report is scheduled for 10:30 am and will cover the balance between wildlife, environment and land within the management of wildlife institutes: the speaker will be Dr. Piero Genoese, head of the wildlife consultancy service of ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).
The study day will continue at 11 with Andrea Amici, professor of the University of Tuscia: the teacher will deal with privately run hunting institutes for what concerns the new game plan for hunting in the province of Viterbo. At 11:30 it will be the turn of a Marco Franco Franolich, technical director of the Game Producers Authority: his speech will focus on the modern wildlife and hunting management of privately managed hunting institutes.
The program is really very rich and continues with Danilo Procacci, dealer ofNepi Wildlife Hunting Company, in charge of talking about how small sedentary game is managed on farms in the province of Viterbo. There will be references to ungulates: the biologist Antonio Francucci, an expert in hunting management, will in fact talk about the management of wild animals in the AFVs of the entire Lazio province, with a focused focus on selection hunting of deer and roe deer. The last two interventions of the study day were scheduled at 12:20 and 12:35.
The first will be that of the agronomist Bruno Tallarico (Azienda Faunistico Venatoria di Castel di Salce), which will discuss the management of wild ungulates in the province of Viterbo, especially addressing issues relating to the wild boar. The second will be that of the representatives of the various companies in the provinces of Lazio and of the wildlife technicians: these are planned interventions that will be better specified in the coming days. All these topics are current as never before, ungulates are discussed practically in every region of Italy and the debates in Viterbo will undoubtedly provide a considerable contribution to finding shared and useful solutions in the long term.
