The 23th Italian Amateur Hunting Championship on individual and team woodcocks without slaughter will be held on Sunday 4 March in Città di Castello, in the S. Zino state property area.
The championship is reserved for federchunters and is open to Italian continental, foreign continental and English pointing dogs. There will be prizes for the first three classified in each category Italian Continental, Foreign Continental, English and the first three classified teams. The first classified in each category will be awarded the title of Federcaccia Italian Champion of Hunting Woodcock 2014 and the first classified team that of Italian Federcaccia Champion of Hunting Woodcock 2014 teams. The single test will be held on Sunday 23 March 2014 in Città di Castello in the San Zino State District; the gathering of the participants is scheduled for 5,30 am at the parking lot of the Bar Green Service on the Apecchiese state road in Città di Castello (PG).
The participation fee for each dog is € 20,00 to be paid on the day of the meeting to the organizing secretariat. The FIdC delegate will be Roberto Malfagia, the Presidents of the Jury will be Massimo Amorini, Luigi Chiappetta, Agostino Di Carlantonio, Antonio Frigato, Ernesto Ghirardo, Tancredi Labate, Pietro Lasagni, Alberto Manoni. The Federal Judges will be Luca Bertolaccini, Ezio Bordoni, Filippo Cataldi, Tommaso Lancia, Claudio Mazzoli, Antonio Paradiso, Ivo Pulcinelli, Stefano Sfondalmondo.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three classified in each category Italian Continental, Foreign Continental, English and to the first three classified teams. The first classified in each category will be awarded the title of Federcaccia Italian Champion of Hunting in Woodcock 2014. The first classified team will be awarded the title of Italian Champion Federcaccia in Squadre di Caccia a Woodcock 2014.
NB at the end of the race the organization will offer free lunch to all participants.
They can take part in the competition:
- all hunters holding the following valid documents: rifle port, hunting license, membership / insurance card of the FIdC, dog qualification book issued by Federcaccia;
- Young people under the age of 18 who do not have a hunting license can participate if they have an amateur card from the FIdC;
- Each participant can register a maximum number of two dogs belonging to a single category (Italian continental, foreign continental or English);
- The tests will take place according to the regulations set out in this notice;
- The Italian Amateur Cup Regulations for Federcaccia pointing dogs apply.

REGULATION
Team formation: Each region may present one or more teams made up of federation hunters who also participate in the individual championship. Each team is made up of at least 4 dogs belonging to the different pointing breeds. Participation in the Italian Team Championship is free. The registration of the teams must be made exclusively by fax (075.8554408) by Thursday 20 March 2014.
The team with the highest score based on the qualifications assigned to its members at the end of the round for the individual championship will win the Italian team championship on woodcocks. Each qualification is assigned the following score:

Valid game: Woodcock only. The behavior of dogs on other game species will be considered only to evaluate the correctness and the degree of training.
Soils: Characterized by the specific habitat of the woodcock and in any case able to allow a substantial appreciation of the dog's work.
Rounds: Paired rounds for all pointing races. The duration of the round is at the discretion of the judge, however it will not be less than 15 minutes.
Performance: The dog hunt must necessarily adapt to the special nature and configuration of the terrain to be explored.
The experience of how to tackle the terrain by adapting the path and where to look for the game is a fundamental requirement of the woodcock dog's job. The autonomy of the search is a primary gift as long as it does not degenerate into uncontrolled independence. Carrying out the search in usually covered and wooded land assumes particular value the connection of the dog with its handler and the search must allow a methodical exploration. The forest bell must be applied to the dog together with the beeper positioned in the function of stop signal. When whirring and shooting, the subject must be recovered by the conductor within a reasonable amount of time as long as it does not exceed one minute. There are no recalls. Completion will not take place as the eliminated dog will finish the round by supporting the pair partner. Cold retrieval obligation for all qualified dogs.
Causes of elimination: I explode after the first minute. Deep pursuit of furred and feathered animals with evident loss of control. Look for apathetic. Lack of consent.
Judgment criteria: Since these are tests in environments and on particular game, the judge must take the utmost account of the special aptitudes and experience of the dog for the specific game.
Ranking: In the event that the championship tests are divided into several heats, the final ranking will be made on the basis of the results of a barrage to which the dogs that have achieved the qualification of 1st EXC in each heat will be admitted. In the event that the qualification of ECC is not assigned in any heat, the barrage will be carried out among the dogs that have obtained the qualification of 1 ° MB. The barrage will be judged by a three judging team indicated in advance. During the barrage it is essential that the dog provides an adequate level of performance even if in this turn he does not have the opportunity to meet and demonstrates correspondence to the breed standard. The duration of the barrage shift is at the discretion of the judging triad.
Final rule: The organization reserves the right to modify this program at its sole discretion to ensure the smooth running of the Championship in the best possible way. The Organization is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or damage to people, things and animals.
