The hunting associations of the Campania joined forces and made their voices heard calling for the resignation of Francesco Emilio Borrelli, president of the Eighth Regional Permanent Commission (Agriculture, Hunting and Fishing). On his Facebook profile, Borrelli had defined the derogation for the reopening of hunting in this regional territory as "Useless and harmful", going so far as to declare that hunters are "willing to kill only the animals".
Here is the text of the request submitted by Federcaccia, Libera Caccia, Anuu Migratoristi, Enalcaccia, Italcaccia e Arch Hunting"Inappropriate and devoid of any plausibility, the words of Councilor Borrelli confirm his inadequacy in holding the position of President of such an important Commission. Moreover, his total "ignorance" and consequent incompetence in hunting matters is evident. Councilor Borrelli is part of that same "Green Europe" that on April 16, 2020 it presented Amendment 79 to the European Parliament with which it proposed a ban on the trade, sale and consumption of wild fauna meat throughout the European Union; amendment then rejected with 449 votes against 186 in favor. Action that confirms even more the thesis of the most absolute incompatibility between the designated representative and the role held.
Councilor Borrelli himself became the protagonist a few days ago of another embarrassing public appearance even more gruesome and unspeakable: Sunday 15 November 2020 through a public post on his Facebook page he defined hunters as people with: "A truly unspeakable primal killer instinct", words that offend a whole category of decent citizens, who perhaps have the only mistake of having a passion for hunting and wanting to experience the emotions it provides. An even more vile element is that Councilor Borrelli then, on Monday 16 November 2020, modified the post on his Facebook page by deleting this offensive and deplorable phrase, without however revising his judgment at all.
A person who holds a public office and also of thickness as President of a Permanent Regional Commission cannot absolutely afford to attack and offend ordinary citizens and above all it is necessary to remind Councilor Borrelli that a publicly elected representative of the people cannot conduct his political action and / or activity with partiality and bias, on the basis of personal and party prejudices. An act that we hope will push the President Vincenzo DE LUCA to review the institutional position assigned with little foresight to Councilor Borrelli because presiding over such an important Commission with the inexperience and insult of his interlocutors risks not only ruining the excellent work done by its predecessor, Dr. Maurice Petracca, but at the same time it risks undermining those already precarious balances that indissolubly characterize the agriculture / hunting relationship, two sectors that inevitably need each other ".
