Following the numerous requests for clarification received in these hours at our offices in relation to the carrying out of the selection hunt, and to avoid further confusion on the possible effects that the last Ministerial Decree of 9 March 2020 could determine on the hunting activity, the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters (CCT), while reserving further investigations, it expresses an initial evaluation. More specifically the selection hunting currently provided for in the Tuscany Region, it is neither suspended nor prohibited; in fact, the decree does not intervene on the regulatory framework that regulates hunting activities.
The decisive factor, clearly highlighted in the restrictive measures provided for by the decree on the entire national territory, is focused on limiting movements and gatherings even in outdoor activities, to avoid the further spread of Covid-19. The only movements allowed are for:
- Proven business needs
- Situations of necessity
- Health reasons
- Return to your home and residence
These possibilities obviously do not include hunting as an activity linked to situations of need, or connected to the other cases listed above. For this reason, the problem relating to the regular performance of the hunting activity is not attributable to one variation of the regulatory framework of competence, but to the limitations that in fact forbid the reaching of the hunting site.
