Federcaccia: Milan and Monza Brianza, the Silver Boar awarded to the regional councilor Gianni Fava for his commitment to "hunting with judgment".
The Silver Boar, the most significant award of the Italian Hunting Federation, was delivered yesterday to the Lombard Regional Councilor Gianni Fava. It is the first time in the long history of Milanese hunters that the coveted statuette, an authentic "oscar" which certifies the commitment to "the hunting with judgment ”is granted to a member of the regional council. In the past it was delivered to Giovanni Negri president of the Lombard Journalists Association, Mario Capanna, Alessandro Sallusti editor of Il Giornale, Bruno Vespa, Adriana Bazzi special correspondent Corriere della Sera, Gabriele Dossena president of the Order of Journalists, Claudio Scarinzi of Ansa Milano . "It is a simple statuette but it means - said the provincial president of Milan and Monza Brianza Rodolfo Grassi, journalist - the esteem and appreciation for the balanced work carried out by the councilor, in a non-partisan defense and for this reason again more significant, than the hunting practice inserted in the environment and attentive to the balance between species ". The ceremony took place in the historic provincial section of Milan, the city where the League of Hunters was born in the early twentieth century, where the commissioner was received by the provincial councilors, by representatives of the agricultural world (Giuseppe Bongini, Coldiretti, Pietro Ticozzelli Confagricoltura) and by the president of the city section Mirco Nova. At the meeting, among the guests, the president Libera also chases Salvatore Conti.
In his speech, the commissioner argued, receiving unanimous approval, the need for an environmentally friendly hunt that takes into account sustainable traditions but without being constrained by them. "It is important - he said - the collaboration of each and every one, today even more than in the past". Mirco Nova in this regard stressed that Lombardy is divided into 53 hunting areas and to access each one must pay a "tax". "A paradox - he added - and we ask you for an authoritative intervention that does justice to the hunting people". Leo Vanzin in charge of the regional FIdC dog lovers proposed the controlled entry of dog lovers in some areas of the Parks.
The Federcaccia of Milan has just under 7 members, 2 members of the Ekoclub, an organization that deals with the environment, 160 sections on the territory divided into ten nuclei and 70 volunteer guards coordinated by Mirco Nova.
