As is known in the beautiful Republic of San Marino, one of the oldest republics in the world, whose capital rises on the slopes of the Mount Titano, hunting and related activities, such as shooting and dog lovers, are among the most deeply felt and experienced passions. Given the modest territorial extension, San Marino hunters enjoy special agreements with the Italian State to be able to practice in neighboring regions and the San Marino Hunting Federation (FSdC) which represents them is always in close contact with the Italian authorities and with our Federation - with which it is affiliated - in particular through the excellent relationships with Federcaccia Marche.
To strengthen these bonds of mutual commitment and friendship, the national president of the Federcaccia Massimo Buconi went to the city of San Marino accompanied by the provincial president FIdC of Pesaro and Urbino Gianpaolo Gori and at the viaticum of the Marche Regional President Paolo Antognoni, unable to attend in person, where he met the Secretary of State for the Territory and Environment, Agriculture, Civil Protection, Relations with the State Autonomous Company for Public Works Stefano Canti and FSdC President Pier Marino Canti for a pleasant convivial and working evening.
Among the various topics covered, the comparison between the systems that regulate hunting in the two states, the common commitment to better manage relations between the Italian and San Marino hunters' federations and the resolution of some critical issues deriving from the recent passage from the Marche Region to the Emilia Romagna Region of some municipalities in the strip bordering the territory of San Marino.
Currently there are two municipalities that pass in Romagna, joining to the 7 who have already changed region for some years, as it is no longer part of the hunting agreements existing between San Marino and the Marche Region. Reciprocal is the regret for this passage that makes the territorial contact between the Republic and the Marches disappear: the numerous San Marino hunters, accustomed to hunting in these territories, will see a reduction in the hospitality of the Marche, mutually sanctioned more by strong personal than administrative relationships. On the occasion the President Buconi was able to express particular satisfaction for how the authorities of the small but representative Republic take into consideration the hunting activity and its representatives (Source: Hunting Federation).
