After all the bitterness and disappointments experienced in recent years, it is understandable that a sort of discouragement and mountains take over the hunters a great anger. What is not acceptable, however, is the fact that some hunters accuse their representatives of all the wrongs they are forced to suffer, especially during the preparation of hunting calendars. On the occasion of this fundamental annual event, we are witnessing the submissive behavior of assessors who do not have the attributes to counter the positions of the usual well-known executives who follow the trend of anti-hunt fashion that is breathed in newspapers and on television. Unloading these faults on hunting associations is unfair and it becomes unbearable if the complaints also involve our association which is accused of not fighting hard enough in defense of the hunt and of having flattened itself in the control room.
Being part of this interassociative structure is a need of a technical, logistical and organizational nature, and the great importance of this common position is there for all to see, especially when there is the need (as happened recently with the umpteenth referendum proposal) to make a common front against threats that no association could face alone! Having said that, however, we must emphasize that our adhesion to the Control Room is certainly neither renunciation nor passive but always extremely critical and careful so that the principles that are the basis of our Statute and our tradition are not lost. Unfortunately, most of our bitter enemies are counting on division and discontent to be able to continue launch their attacks on our dignity as upright and law-abiding citizens.
We ask all hunters not to give up in the face of difficulties and, above all, to continue to trust those who have never sold off the dignity and freedom of Italian hunters to party interests. For our part, we confirm that we are ready to start a real and harsh protest against those regions which are so renounced, and against an overly politicized Ispra who continues to have prejudicial anti-hunting attitudes of a more ideological than scientific and often completely incomprehensible (THE PRESIDENT of the National Free Hunt Association - Paul Sparvoli).
