30/05/11 - The Grand Prix d'Italie of Fossa Universale which was hosted by the structures of the Trap Concaverde in Lonato del Garda (BS) ended with a more than positive balance.
The platforms of the 12 fields of one of the largest facilities in the world were trodden by 218 shooters from Italy, France, Spain and England who faced each other over a distance of 225 targets plus any 25 playoffs for the assignment of podiums in the event. of equal merit.
The general classification, in jargon called Scratch, saw the Spaniard Manuel Gonzales Perez excel who climbed to the top step of the podium with a score of 195/225. Behind him the silver and bronze were awarded thanks to a playoff. The protagonists are two Italians, Luca Miotto from Ciliverghe (BS) and Alessandro De Pietri from Lainate (MI) paired at 194.
At the end of the series of shoot-offs it was Miotto who won the silver with +23, leaving the bronze to De Pietri with +20. The latter, however, was consoled with the gold won in the Senior ranking, ahead of Alessandro Camisotti from Porto Virio (RO), silver with 193 +25, and Giorgio Cacciapaglia from Nardò (LE), bronze with 193 +23.
Among the Ladies the best was the Italian Bianca Revello from Villanova d'Albenga (SV) who won gold with 182/225 beating her compatriots Nadia Righetti from Pescantina (VR) with 172 and Monia Minghetti from Ozzano dell'Emilia (BO) with 171, respectively silver and bronze. Dominating the Junior ranking was the aforementioned Luca Miotto with a score of 194/225.
The place of honor went to Valerio Grazini from Viterbo with 192 and the last step of the podium to Renzo Baldinotti from Vinci (FI) with 189. Among the Veterans, behind the winner of the general classification and first in this classification, Manuel Gonzales Perez, Lionello Masiero of Santa Maria di Sala (VE), second with 187, and Giorgio Bottigella of Mortara (PV), third with 185.
Finally, in the Super Veterans sector, the first place was won by Marco Vaccari from Novate Milanese (MI) with 187/225, the second by Roberto Nanni from Bellaria (RN) with 182 and the third by Aurelio Tezze from Montebello Vicentino ( VI) with 179.
