Marco Efisio Pisanu, president of the Sardinian section of the association Hunting-Fishing-Environment, sent a letter to the Councilor for the Defense of the Environment of the Sardinia Region, Donatella Spano. The reason is obvious: Pisanu has expressly requested the cancellation of the proposals of regional hunting calendar advanced by the provinces of the island, since they would have disregarded the provisions of the law.
In fact, the second paragraph of Article 50 of the Regional Law 23 of 1998 provides that by May 31 of each year the Provinces hear the Provincial Fauna Committees. It was precisely these local authorities that made known the difficulty in correctly analyzing the documents due to incomplete data received from municipalities, in addition to the absence of precise scientific data. This means that the calendar proposals are also unreliable. Caccia-Pesca-Ambiente Sardegna has asked to include on the agenda the modification of the fourth paragraph of article 6 of the Internal Regulations of the Committees, in order to validate the proposals received with the participation of a third of the members.
Another entry on the agenda is that of reintroduce huntable species of anatidae, eliminated from the Sardinian hunting calendar last year. Finally, President Pisanu attached the proposal of hunting calendar 2017-2018, developed together with the other hunting associations present in Sardinia.
