HUNT: Councilor Agnelli: “Considerable land consumption linked to urban development and infrastructures: a sacrifice that we take on ourselves for the entire Lombard system”.
Milan, 23 May 2011 - The provincial assembly of the Italian Hunting Federation of Milan, Monza and Brianza took place last Saturday at the Spazio Oberdan of the Province of Milan, in Porta Venezia.
Over 200 section representatives were present to listen and speak on the report of the FIdC provincial president, Rodolfo Grassi, and the FIdC regional president, Mauro Cavallari.
The President of the Province, Hon. Guido Podestà, the provincial councilor for hunting in Milan, Luca Agnelli, of Monza and Brianza, Andrea Monti, and numerous other authorities and exponents of civil society.
In his report, the provincial president of the FIdC, Rodolfo Grassi, relaunched the idea of the Syndicate of the territory, "the organization that must be the meeting point of the vocation of hunters to be workers of nature and in nature" to those who, from the organization of the world of work to those of agriculture and civil society, they care about the environment and health.
Grassi also launched the proposal for a meeting of all hunters in September, a sort of “General States of Hunting” also open to all naturalists and farmers.
The provincial councilor for hunting in Milan, Luca Agnelli, spoke on the issue of hunting density, and on the possibility of Milanese hunters being admitted to areas that have a better ratio of hectares per hunter.
The Councilor, on the sidelines of the Assembly, reiterated: “Our provinces bear a considerable consumption of land linked to urban development and infrastructures, but it is a sacrifice that we bear for the entire Lombard system.
It is a right to be able to register in those areas that have greater availability of space useful for hunting, but at the same time it must be our duty to respect the territory of the areas that host us, areas that over the years have been able to carefully manage both the environment and the withdrawal."
