The ringing station of the Mount Pizzoc, in Treviso area, updated the data relating to latest catch in this area of Veneto. The day of Thursday 27 October was characterized by good weather (after 7 days of fog) with 14 species captured: the main one was the black redstart, in particular 52 male specimens in total. In addition, the sixth seasonal woodcock (a record for Monte Pizzoc) and the first cesena of the year.
The total number of species has risen to 52, also an important record. During the previous days, however, the catches were lower, but still sufficient to carry out a lesson given to two classes of a middle school. On foggy days the catches concerned a good group of long-tailed tit, even if it has been called a "meager booty". The previous record of seasonal woodcock was three years ago: in 2013, five had been ringed, now one more has been added, so the season will be remembered for a long time.
