The section of Pontida (province of Bergamo) of the Italian Federation of Hunting organized the nineteenth edition of the Festival of the Singing Birds. The event, scheduled for Sunday 24 July 2016, makes use of the precious collaboration ofAMOV (Association of Hunting Ornithological Manifestations) of Gussago. Those interested in participating can go to the sports center of the Lombard location: admission for the public will be free and you can also take advantage of the bar service and excellent home cooking.
At 5 am the registrations will start, while the actual demonstration will start at 6. At 10:30, however, there will be the awards ceremony, complete with a final lunch at noon. The organizers have thought of different categories to be admitted to the festival. We are talking about the blackbird, redwing, song thrush, lark, tordina, finch and goldfinch.
The regulation valid and to be followed will be that of AMOV itself, while the prizes will consist of good value. Federcaccia Pontida will also award a special prize named after Franco Locatelli to the best song thrush. This Sagra degli Uccelli da Canto is part of the various initiatives that have been organized on the occasion of the Sports and Alpine Festival, which started less than a week ago and will last until July 31st.
