After the first preselection two days ago, Sunday 3 April 2016, and the one scheduled for the next one 17th April, everything will be ready for the regional and amateur final selection for hunters and scheduled for May 15th. This is the twenty-sixth edition of the National Championship and Second ArciCaccia Sardinia Trophy (Amateur Sant'Uberto). The test is intended for pointing dogs, to be precise at two "English" and "Continental" categories, a double date on which a lot of interest is already being concentrated. The pre-selection 48 hours ago was the one that concerned the Center-South and took place in "Cuccuru de Sticcas" Dog Training Area in Santa Giusta (Oristano). In twelve days, however, there will be room for the preselection of the Center-North, specifically in the Dog Training Area "Badde Ghia" of Ozieri, in the province of Sassari.
The same Sardinian province will be the scene of the final regional selection, a The Court. The regulation is soon said. Participating dogs must be equipped with a microchip and registered in the Canine Registry. Furthermore, the same participation is subject to a valid ArciCaccia membership; alternatively, membership will be admitted CSAA (Open Air Sports Center) to be regularized on the competition field at a cost of ten euros. The shifts will have a total duration of ten minutes and a maximum of two quail as far as the wild animal is concerned.
The test will then be evaluated according to the rules established by ArciCaccia-CSAA. In addition, it will continue indefinitely until all shifts are exhausted. These dog events have been waiting "with anxiety" for the beginning of spring to take place. Among other things, it should not be forgotten that there is another date to mark on the calendar, that of April 24th. In just under three weeks, in fact, it will be the turn of the working test for dogs to be followed on hare, an event that was initially scheduled for last March 20, but which was then postponed due to a mourning that hit the hunting world in Ozieri.
As explained by La nuova sardegna, that of the hares is a real novelty for the island, something new and not very widespread. Memberships grew exponentially and the contribution of important partners such as the Italian Federation of Hunting, the Arcicaccia, the National Free Hunting Association, the Union of Hunters of Sardinia (UCS) and others. In a nutshell, Sardinia will be characterized by a spring full of dog-loving trials on the outcome of which the organizers tend to be more than optimistic.
