Fernanda Cecchini, councilor for hunting of the Umbria Region, announced the local authority's appeal against the recent decision of the Regional Administrative Court which suspended the two days in pre-opening (2 and 9 September). This is a precautionary appeal addressed to the Council of State. The Region is totally involved in this affair, given that the hunting calendar relating to the 2018-2019 season it was approved by the Executive in full compliance with the deadlines and based on the various scientific opinions.
The Regional Administrative Court of Umbria has instead decided to agree with the WWF, an association it had presented an appeal against the day and a half in pre-opening. The choice of the legal path was taken at the end of the Wildlife Hunting Consultation convened precisely to discuss the topic. The hunting associations are also moving in the same direction. In particular, the Regional Federcaccia has made it known that he wants to file a petition and get the discussion before September.
As specified by the councilor Cecchini, the same associations have decided to establish themselves in a completely autonomous way. The bolt from the blue of the TAR ruling has moved the entire hunting world. Now we will understand what glimmers there are, given that the two days planned for hunting some species are quite neighbors in the calendar.
