Arcicaccia Umbria expresses its satisfaction for the reopening of the Hare and Moretta hunting, accepting the Region's appeal to the previous suspension.
We are pleased to learn that the Council of State has accepted the appeal of the Umbria Region regarding the sentence of the TAR of Umbria on the appeal presented by the hunting victims association, restoring the hunting calendar regarding the closure of the hare species and the moretta species , for once we can say that common sense supported by scientific data has won, a small victory that disproves the most unbridled and radical anti-hunting positions, which most of the time is unfounded and which tries to undermine the stability of the hunting world.
In thanking the regional hunting councilor Fernanda Cecchini and all her staff who, thanks to the work done in collaboration with all the hunting associations for the drafting of the hunting calendar, did not hesitate and defend their choices, this association will be available to the Umbria Region and the Councilor in view of the discussion on the merits of the appeal scheduled for next spring, providing all possible support.
The Regional President Arci Caccia of Umbria said: "It is necessary to resume the constructive work begun in the 90s, to defend true, sustainable and social hunting in order to be able to regain a role in society that today, due to an anti-hunt sentiment that crosses the whole nation and all political alignments, has been put banned from modern society, it is necessary that all hunting associations take the road as in the years that led to law 157/199 which I have lived since 14 years old but which I remember very well in order to achieve a common goal which is the defense of hunting and of hunters.
We invite the Umbria Region in collaboration with hunting associations to develop a long-term project that in a few years will lead to a decrease in damage caused by wildlife and to manage the problem of damage caused by wildlife in an ordinary way and no longer there. '' addressing the extraordinary, which leads above all to the involvement of all hunters and not as it is happening at the moment that everything is managed in a patronage manner, this would mean recognizing a role to hunters who put themselves at the service of society as environmental managers and that in a period of crisis would lead to the recovery of funds in order to be truly destined for hunting management. "
