The approval of the Veneto Region's Wildlife Hunting Plan was blurred during the last session of the Regional Council.
In the meeting of the Veneto Regional Council on January 25, due to the lack of a quorum (the PDL was present only with 1/3 of its directors) and the clamorous opposition of the director Teso (PDL ex An), the extension was not approved of the Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan and the modification of the law that allowed the postponement of the hunting of some species, as already foreseen by the approved hunting calendar.
“What happened in the Council - declares the national vice president of the FIdC Lorenzo Carnacina, commenting on the event also on behalf of Federcaccia Veneto - means that the 9-day extension of the hunting season scheduled for the month of February cannot be exercised. We have lost once again, and exclusively for political and non-technical reasons, an opportunity of great importance for all hunters. This is yet another demonstration that someone is involved in politics on the skin of hunters without thinking about the repercussions and the damage it does to all. the category and the entire hunting system ".
