In line with the meetings between the "National control room" and political forces, theArci Regional Hunting together with all the hunting associations on 09/07/2019 he participated in the meeting, at the Lazio Region, promoted by the Hon. Angelo Tripodi of the group of Alloy. On behalf of the Regional Hunting Arci, Giancarlo Siddera spoke at the event who, thanking the promoters of the meeting, highlighted that the fauna management system derived from Law 157 / 92 has reached an extreme point of criticality, due to the overlapping of various sentences (most recently TAR Tuscany and the Council of State) and new irrational pressures (see the real tug-of-war between many regions and the Ministry of the Environment against the inclusion of the African turtledove species in "pre-opening".
It is therefore necessary to give new horizons to the initiatives of the hunting world. We urge an urgent call from the Lazio Region to start the discussion on the new wildlife hunting plan (whose administrative process is already in place) which defines vocations, faunal balance for the various species, and the indispensable calculation of the "agro-forestry pastoral territory".
We also urge the national legislator:
a new definition of the concept of "maximum time span" for individual species;
a validation by ISPRA of the various regional scientific institutes, first of all the universities, for a new phase of studies on the “sedentary and migratory” fauna in Italy - the hunting world is not afraid of scientific research;
a revision of art. 19 of law 157/92 aimed at introducing the figure of the "assistant hunter" for the control activities of some species of fauna in order to prevent damage to agriculture and for the protection of biodiversity;
overcoming the incredible isolation in which Italy has found itself with respect to all the Mediterranean states in the revision phase of the European directive on migratory species.
