The September 6th next the hearing before the Council of State to discuss the precautionary petition with which the Umbria Region has requested the annulment of the order of the Regional Administrative Court about some parts of the calendar for next hunting season following the appeal presented by Wwf Italy. The date of the collegial discussion was set with an urgent decree from the Council of State which, pending the hearing, rejected the appeal promoted by the Region through the Regional Advocacy, with the “ad adiuvandum” intervention of the hunting associations.
"At the moment, only the selection hunting of fallow deer and roe deer species remains suspended - underlines the commissioner Cecchini - while hunting on Sundays of 2 and 9 September is not in question, according to the times and procedures set out in the calendar for the species of teal, garganey, mallard, dove, wood pigeon, hooded crow, jay and magpie ".
"In the precautionary appeal - concludes the commissioner - we have duly documented how the Region has complied with the regulatory provisions, arguing the reasons why the decision of the Tar on the appeal of the WWF is to be considered null. At the hearing we will return to support our reasons, also because the suspension of the selection hunt for ungulates causes serious damage to the public interest ”.
