La Regional Federcaccia of Umbria, together with the entire hunting world including Italcaccia and Urca (which due to a misunderstanding had remained outside the concordat ad adiuvandum, in the precautionary petition advanced by the Region at the Council of State), express satisfaction for the reintegration of the two pre-opening days on 2 and 9 September next to the migratory bird species indicated by the regional hunting calendar, ie dove, wood pigeon, teal, garganey, mallard, hooded crow, jay and magpie.
In any case, the board has set the hearing to discuss the precautionary petition for 6 September. The satisfaction is mostly related to the principle of law, according to which the provisions issued by the Umbria Region and supported by hunting associations they were perfectly regular.
Although the culls of ungulates for the month of August are still penalized, therefore, we are confident that in the hearing on the 6th the Council of State will be able to definitively return dignity and value to the regional hunting calendar, the result of scientific studies, data collection, censuses and elaboration of prudent and prudent abatement plans, in order to guarantee the welfare of animal populations and biodiversity and, at the same time, the right to hunt for those authorized by the laws in force. The news is very important and sweeps away the clouds that had formed after the disputed sentence.
